What can I expect?!

What can I expect at my first prenatal appointment? It's this Friday and I'll be 7 1/2 weeks! Will I get an ultrasound?! I'm hoping we'll be able to see the baby since by husband leaves for deployment next week💔 TIA

I guess it depends on your doctor, but mine did a transvaginal ultrasound, urine, blood work, and paperwork.

Depends on the hospital and doctor. My first appointment I did a "pregnancy packet" and basically put down family medical history and decided if I would want genetic testing in a few weeks, etc. They took my height and weight, blood pressure, and did a Pap smear. Then I did blood draws to check hormone levels, rhesus factors, fistic fibrosis, etc. Then my next appointment (10 weeks) I did my first transvaginal ultrasound and went over the blood results and talked about how much weight I could gain, exercise, prenatales, etc. So it just depends on your doctor! But you can always call ahead and ask so you're prepared :)
