Planning a Time for Pregnancy

My husband and I just got married and we want to buy a home before having a baby. I never used to have baby fever but now it's really strong. I know we're right to wait until we can afford a child, but I'm scared that we might not be able to conceive if we wait too long. I'm 27 now and we want 2 kids. We can afford a home in a little over 2 years. For those of you who had babies around 30-35, was fertility an issue? Are you happy you waited until you did or would you advise me to worry about buying a home later and start making babies soon? Also, is there any way to predict how many fertile years I have left?
