Evening primrose oil?

Hi ladies! I’m 34 weeks pregnant today and was wondering if any of you had personal experience with EPO? I️ know there are tons of post about this on the internet but I was wanting to hear from the Glow ladies? Any experience or advice on this would be awesome! Thanks! And no, I am not trying to induce labor at 34 weeks.

It didn’t get my labour going but where I tore with baby one (I didn’t use it), I didn’t tear with baby two (I did use it). I also did perennial massage with baby two. Both combined may well have had that positive effect.

My doctor told me to wait until full term, or after 37 weeks, before taking because it contains prostaglandins that affect your hormones. I started taking at 39 weeks- my baby was a healthy 7.5lbs and placenta was mature- and started labor 3 days later 3cm dilated and 100% effaced. I took one in the morning and afternoon orally and one in the evening vaginally.

I wouldn't use it without consulting with my care provider. Especially if you are trying to induce labor at 34 weeks.
