How much does your baby eat?

My little one it 2 weeks. He's eating 4 ounces now. I've read around his age he shouldn't be eating that much. 😳 I take breaks to burp and make sure he's not full but he always wants more. Anyone else experiencing this ??

give him more.. my 4 week old is on 5 ounces and has been for last 2 weeks. she doesn't finish every bottle, some feeds she will only have 2 or 3 ounces,  but I make every bottle a 5oz. when she starts finishing every bottle then I'll start upping it to 6. if your baby is hungry then give them more. Don't listen to what your baby "should"  be doing or having, every child is different.

at 2 weeks my baby was eatting 4 oz’s every 2-3 hours. hes 3 weeks and can sometimes eat 5 ozs. they are so tiny & growing so much. plus breastmilk is so light! not comparable to formula.

Look into paced feeding (i assume he’s bottle fed?). Is it formula or breast milk?

I would ask your pediatrician. Is he spitting up? He may just be staying on the bottle because he wants to suck to sooth himself. You might want to try a pacifier.

My baby is a little over 2 weeks old and he eats 2 oz almost every 60 min to 90 min. He started out breastfeeding but he wasn't getting enough so i started pumping as well. He's much more laid back now that I pump but he eats a lot. I also looked up that he should be eating 2 oz every 2-3 hours. It has me a little worried about my supply and over feeding

So is he wanting more at your breast? Or bottle? 
The only way to accurately know how much he’s eating st the breast is to do a weighted feed at the doctors office. Pumping does not give you an accurate reading. When you bottle feed, make sure you’re doing oacef bottle feeding. There are YouTube videos that demonstrate it and kelkymom.com has more info.
It’s important to maintain the same pace that he’s eating at the breast when you bottle feed him because if not, the chances of him starting to refuse the breast are high. You have to him make bottle feeding just like he works to breastfeed.
