My birth story

I see on here all the time about women not wanting to go over their due date, but they don’t want to try to induce their labor because they’ve done “research” and think it’s a bad idea so here’s my story. I was 38 weeks and 5 days when I gave birth. I had a very bad pregnancy due to sickness and baby not wanting to move a lot so I was in and out of the hospital. I was getting toward the end of pregnancy and I’ve tried everything I could to induce myself because I would never dilate past 1 cm I stayed that way for two weeks with no signs of moving plus my baby was way high. So I tried bumpy car ride, spicy foods, acupuncture, sex, bouncing on a ball, and dancing and still nothing. I had heard about Castro oil but I was like no way at I taking that to make myself shit all night but finally I had enough and I bought a little 4 oz bottle and drank it (nastiest stuff ever) I was on the toilet all night with cramping but I brushed it off as Braxton Hicks because if I got up they went away. Well I finally went to sleep around 330 am and woke up at 8 to go pee and when I stood up my water broke. I immediately woke my husband up and called l&d; and told them I was on my way. I got there and got my IV put in and catheter too and they started my pitocin because I was still at 1 cm. I was in labor for 13 hours and I pushed for an hour and a half but she couldn’t get under my pelvic bone so I ended up having to have a c section. To this day I do not regret my decision because my dr was going to make me go over my due date. He would not induce me so I did it myself! Posting anonymously because I don’t want to be judged like some of you are going to even though I did nothing wrong because women do it all the time so go ahead and bash me
