When does baby get into position?

Question

I had an ultrasound at 26 weeks and the baby was transverse. My doctor scheduled another ultrasound at 36 weeks to make sure he has moved to head down position. When do babies typically get into birthing position?

Plenty of time to move, my baby moved at 31 weeks and has been that way since, I am now 35 weeks :)

My son was head down pretty early, more than 2 months. This one is an acrobat and isn't even close at 35 weeks.

Every baby is different but toward 36 weeks they end up in position. My first was head down since she was 25 weeks.
