4th degree perineal tear

I had my son two years ago and had an all natural birth. He was 8 lbs 4.6 oz with such a big head. I ended up with a 4th degree tear. It healed well (I do not have any lasting problems) but it was emotional to deal with and did take awhile before I was comfortable having sex. My doctor did a fantastic job stitching me back up and I am great.

We are due in May with second baby and they have offered a primary c-section, but are also open to a vaginal delivery.

I am looking for experiences of people having a fourth degree tear and then delivering vaginally again....
