Realized I hadn’t updated to this forum!

Backstory: I had my first loss last year 2016 in July d/t undiagnosed IC with my daughter, Haven. This year my husband and I found out we were expecting again and I had a preventative cerclage placed in May at 14 weeks. Fortunately and by the grace of God, My stitch held up strong and didn’t funnel at all during the entire pregnancy. I was on bedrest from May til last week Nov 1 when I got my stitch removed at 37 weeks!

The removal was done at the doctor’s office. I was advised to take 1 Tylenol strength an hour before my appointment. The entire procedure took about 10-15 minutes and honestly the only part that was painful/ uncomfortable was the placing of the forceps to open up my vagina. After the stitch was removed, my doctor checked me and I was already 1CM dilated and 50% effaced. After my appointment I experienced super light spotting and some cramping but not painful. I asked to keep the stitch as I am blogging about my journey.

I am currently 38 + 5 weeks pregnant and had an appointment this past Wednesday and am now 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. Doctor says that the baby’s head is still high. Other than experiencing BH, lightening crotch, pelvic pressure and light lower back pain nothing really serious has happened yet so we’re still waiting 🙏🏼

Due date is 11/20 but my birthday is this Monday 11/13 and I’m kind of hoping baby and I get to share the same birthday 💙🎂
