Getting worried! 😰
I'm 36+4 and I have gestational diabetes and PIH. I'm on meds for both and they've both been fairly well controlled so far. I had a doctors appt yesterday and they told me that the placenta was maturing (not sure if that's ok or not?) and that my BP was 187/88. They did my exam and I was dilated to 2 and then they rechecked my BP. It was a little lower but still very elevated. They sent me home on bed rest with a 24-hr urine test to do. I am supposed to take it back in the morning and have my BP checked again. They said if my BP has lowered, they'll advise bed rest. I assume that if it HASNT lowered, I'll be induced? Does anyone have any experience with GD and hypertension? I don't WANT to be induced early, but my baby is currently right at 6 pounds (+/- a half pound I think) and I'm wondering if he would be better off on the outside rather than continuing to gestate in a possibly unhealthy environment. Should I expect my doctor to induce early? Should I ask him to? I have heard lots of people say that they have perfectly healthy 37 weekers and I would be ok with having him now if I could know that he would be born healthy and avoid the NICU. Basically, I'm just kind of freaking out. Someone tell me something good lol
