getting a hungry baby to sleep?

I was supposed to be going out tonight and arranged for my sister to come watch the baby. My partner and I had a few drinks when she got here and he had a bottle from the fridge. We're just due to leave the house so I go to get the rest of my milk from the freezer only to find that the electric has gone out and everything is defrosted. We now have no milk to give him, and since I've had a drink, I need to wait a few hours before putting him back on the boob. He's hungry and starting to fuss- any magic-trick way I can get him sleeping again while he's hungry to save him crying it out for the next hour or two? 

I feel so bad for not checking/realising this sooner :(
