Name baby after baby who passed..

So my husband had a brother who died of SIDS. When we were talking about potential names for our baby I suggested his brothers name as a way to honor him. My husbands first reaction was “HELL NO are we naming our baby after a baby who died.” He has since actually seemed to change his mind about it but I can’t get that reaction out of my mind. If we were serious about it I was also going to talk to my mother in law about it first to see what her comfort level was. Thoughts??
