Anyone have a baby they thought they didn’t want at first (when you found out)? How do you feel now

I never wanted children. I was known as the girl that never wanted kids and people would joke that they hope I'd never have kids. I married 18 years and was 37 when I found out I was pregnant. I took 5 tests. Went to the Dr for blood work all hoping it would be negative. Saw my endocrinologist because I had cancer and am now a diabetic, she gave me insulin and I cried saying I never wanted a baby. She asked if I was going to keep the baby and immediately my tears dried up and I said yes. I don't believe in abortion. Still it wasn't until I had my first ultrasound and actually saw the baby that it dawned on me that I really am pregnant. The baby waved to us and we have it on video. Now my life is organized chaos and I wouldn't have it any other way. Love love my daughter with all my heart.

The baby I’m pregnant with right now. I was on birth control and hubby was 2 weeks away from getting snipped. Marital issues...alcoholic husband. No help at all from him. I was basically a single mom. I cried for 2 hours when I found out, I was so confused because I had fully made the choice to never have another child! I was calling lawyers to file for divorce I was doing it all. Getting ready to leave because I couldn’t handle being my husband’s babysitter anymore when he came home drunk. He was like a 4th child...
But I could never abort. It’s not for me. I would devastate myself and my emotional well being. I saw that baby on the ultrasound and I knew that I was pregnant for a reason. And now I’m 28 weeks with a beautiful baby girl who is going to be a fire cracker!! She’s caused so many problems and yet she’s so perfect!! 
My marriage has been slowly getting better and so has my husbands problem. I realized it won’t happen overnight and as long as he’s progressing, I’ll continue to be proud of him. I’m so in love with this baby and so glad that she will be able to call me her mother.

he's the greatest blessing  in the world. to have someone that loves you unconditionally is truly something else. it's hard it's stressful you doubt yourself. but it's worth it. The moment you lay eyes on your child your entire world changes.i would give my life for my son. totally unexpected and totally life changing but wouldnt have it another way.

I was so not ready for my first! I had a total meltdown the night before i was induced. And she was a little difficult at the start. But she's 9 now and i can't imagine my life without her! It was a big adjustment for me and i had almost like sibling resentment after she was born because i was used to being the center of attention, i had a lot of growing up to do. It was all worth it though. She's a great kid and an awesome big sister!
