Not too sure... Mirena questions?

I had cramping the first day and light spotting for two days after insertion but it stopped and now I'm 9 days after insertion and I'm cramping and having heavier spotting but my period isn't for another two weeks... should I be worried?

Okay, thank you ladies! I was a bit worried because I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it! But now I feel a little better, still bleeding a bit but hopefully after this month I won't bleed at all!

I bled on and off for a month after I had mine done. I've had it almost 2 years now and have spotted 3 times since then.

No, not from what my doctor said. I just had a Skyla inserted today, the baby version of Mirena, and she said it is normal to have periodic spotting with the hormones. My doctor has Mirena and explained that it happened to her for a while too. She told me that if it keep happening after a couple mentrual cycles, to come see her, but 9 days, you should be fine long term.
