Birth story!

Paige

Arrived at the hospital yesterday to start the induction process. Folley ball was inserted and I was left to sleep and rest until 4am the next morning. Woke up and got hooked up to monitor babies heart rate. It’s always been low but with contractions it dipped lower then the nurses were comfortable with so we help off starting pitocin until the doctors were in house. Started pitocin at 615am. Didn’t have anything consistent or intense up until 830. And even then they weren’t too bad. Doctor checked me and I had gone from 2cm to a 5 but still pretty thick. They broke my water at 845am. That jumped started things. Could only stand and sway for the next 1hr and a half. Looked at my husband and told him I wanted the nurse to come check on me. So she came in and checked I was 9cm. Next contraction hit so I pushed. Then the nurse says “oh your crowning”. Still pushing at this point now the head was out. My poor nurse is hollering for the doctor and for extra assistance next thing she knows she is catching my baby. She was amazing!!! Less than a minute of pushing and me and my husband finally found out that we were evening the numbers in our house. Baby four is a girl and we now have two girls and two boys! Such a quick process and the nursing staff is amazing!’
