What exactly is the defect or disease? Does it hinder their quality of life? Will it result in a painful life/death? I feel like this type of question can never be straight forward. A lot of issues can be simply cosmetic while others can be fatal or cause intense problems neurologically and physically for the child.

If it was something like down syndrome, of course not. But if it was something that would affect their quality of life then maybe. I wouldn’t want to bring them into a world of pain so if it was something severe and untreatable then yes.

If it meant that they weren’t going to be able to have a normal life and wouldn’t be able to walk, talk, and etc then yes.

If it would severely hinder their quality of life, probably not, but at the same time, you usually don't find that stuff out until its later in a pregnancy, so... 🤷🏼‍♀️
