Anterior placenta??

Had my 20 Week scan, which went great, she’s doing really well, so I’m very very pleased! Sonographer said I have an anterior placenta. Any other ladies that can shed a little more light on to what this means?

So the obvious: it means the placenta is in the front. It isn’t a huge deal. It could mean feeling movement can be delayed and harder to feel during the pregnancy. If it is too low you could need a csection. I had one and it was low. If it didn’t move I would have had to have a csection. But as your uterus grow to more it moves up. I didn’t need a csection and I definitely felt a lot of movements lol

Just means you won't feel baby as easily. The placenta is acting like a pillow preventing you from feeling as much as someone who has a posterior placenta.

I️ just found out I️ have this too. It just means you won’t feel the baby as much as a placenta in the back. It’s frustrating bc this is my first pregnancy and I️ am dying to feel the little one move around!

It just means your placenta implanted in the front instead of posterior like usual.
