how do you keep a diaper from exploding out the back top?

is it too small or does it just come with the territory ? my daughter is 3 months in size 1 diapers

Go up a size. My 2 mo old is in size 2 and prob size 3 very soon. Don’t try and follow the weight guidelines on the box. Just find what fits.

I would try the size up but if it keeps happening try a different brand. Pampers always exploded on baby but target brand have been awesome

I had this issue in almost all other brands except huggies. If you look, huggies has an elastic band at the top in the back and it works perfect for holding poop in! 
I tried the Up&Up; brand and it had a very weak elastic band (if u can even call if that) so poop could go up the back easily. Pampers brand doesn’t even have an elastic back, it’s just a flat piece of material so we had the worst blow outs with pampers although pampers seems to be the number one choice with moms 🤷🏻‍♀️ Every baby is different.

I always get diapers just a bit bigger than they should be to keep that from happening. 
My sons never done that his whole time in diapers and my daughter has done it once but I haven’t upsized hers yet

My son is 3 months is size 3. He is a big baby.
Sounds like you need to size up.
Try size 2. Or try size 3- see how it fits

The Huggies Costco carries are the best. They fit really well and never had any issues. When my son was newborn I used Huggies naturals diapers and they were amazing. He was in newborn for 1.5 months but he was small and had a tiny bum. Still does. He's 3 now and is just fitting in 2t clothes :)

I’ve personally never had this issue. I can tell when a diaper is too small on our daughter and then I move her into the next size. If you’re putting the diaper on correctly and are using the correct size then you shouldn’t have leakage issues. I’ve used Pampers, Up and Up, Seventh Generation, The Honest Company, and Huggies. Zero leaks.
