She arrived the morning after her due date!

She arrived today at 1:10am

I started having contractions around 5am on Wednesday morning (November 15th which was her due date) I went into my 40 week appointment at 2:10pm and found out I was 3cm dilated. They said the baby will more than likely be born that night or the next day. So I went home and things started to progress. I realized that my contractions began to get closer together and soon they become 6 minutes apart! (It happened so fast). That’s when I decided it was time to go to the hospital. We get there and find out that I’m still 3cm dilated (it was about 5:30pm) and so they said they’d have me stay for an hour and then check my cervix again to see if I’ve dilated any further. Well an hour goes by and I’m still 3cm but mind you, the contractions were getting closer together still. So they said I could stay one more hour and then check again. They checked an hour later, still 3cm. So I went home at about 8:30 and on my way home, my contractions were still getting stronger and closer. I get home and things were even worse. I tried to lay down, that didn’t work, I tried to take a warm bath and my boyfriend helped me out with that, still in pain. They were getting closer. I wanted to crawl around everywhere. My contractions became so unbearable and I was moaning and wanting to cry for about two hours. I told my boyfriend that I think it’s time to go back to the hospital. Literally not even 5 seconds later after I said this, I threw up! It was green and a bunch of water! So my boyfriend cleaned it up and called the hospital to know we were on our way back! So at 10:30 my sister rushed us (safely of course) to the hospital and the entire time I’m having contractions so close together, it felt like no break between them! I wanted to cry and I was screaming and I literally felt as though I needed to push and the baby was going to come out right there in the car!!! Well we finally get to the hospital and I can’t help but to be loud because of the pain. They welcomed me back and said sorry for having me go back home! They said alright let’s check your cervix. I was 9cm!!!!!

They asked if I wanted an epidural and my original plan was to get one so I said yes. They told me they can’t promise I’ll get one because of how long it may take to get an order in. Welp the pain was so bad, I couldn’t take it. I was getting overly hot. The contractions were so close together I didn’t wanna do it anymore!!

So they checked me again, I was already 10cm!! IT WAS TIME TO DELIVER!!! They told me I’d have to go natural because it was too late for the epidural. Well it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life (: but I did it! I kept screaming that I couldn’t do it haha they all kept saying yes you can!! You’re doing so well!! It took 20 minutes to push and she was out!!! Our beautiful baby girl, Autumn Olivia Solomon 🎀🎀😆💖
