Even worth it?

Due to a breast condition I didn't know I had till I was in the hospital I cannot breastfeed because I simply can't produce enough. I still pump because I'm so desperate to give my daughter breast milk but it takes me all day to produce just 1 ounce. Is this 1 ounce I give my daughter a day even worth it?

It might be worth it for her...but what about you? It takes you all day to pump that..I don't think it's worth your time. Don't stress yourself over something you can't control. Remember you're still a person too! It's better for baby to have a happy mum!

The lactation specialist told me that whatever I could give my baby was like medicine. Sometimes I only pump about a teaspoon but if that has benefits for my baby then it is worth it to me. Hope this helps. Removed you have to do what is best for you and your baby. Good luck!

1 oz is still a good amount. Some is better than nothing. You could always top it off with formula to meet whatever quantity you're feeding. I did that when I wasn't producing enough milk to meet her demand. Do it as long as it doesn't stress you out too much!
