My little Harper Rei was born at 10:47 this morning after a fairly quick 10 hour labour. Nearly lost the will to live when I was in agony and was told I was only 1cm, 1cm!!!!! They sent me home but an hour later I was in too much pain so came back in to hospital, was told I was 3cm. 45 mins later and I wanted an epidural and begged to be checked, hoping I was 4cm to be able to have one...turns out I was 7cm!!! 40 minutes of pushing and there she was! She wasn't breathing so emergency alarm went off and it was all pretty scary, although the midwives were AMAZING and kept us very calm. We're both recovering well and she's being monitored for 24 hours. I'm utterly in love already.
