When was your pain the worst?

My after birth contractions were TERRIBLE!

Answer

With my first my contractions were all back labor and it was miserable. My contractions stopped during the pushing time and the pain after birth wasn't that bad. 
With my second my labor was not bad at all my contractions stopped during pushing and after birth was horrible (no one told me it gets worse with each kid) 
Here I am 18 weeks with my third and I hope that my labor is even easier than my second and I am not looking forward to the afterbirth part. All my births were natural and 23-20 hours from water breaking to baby out.

Answer

I had contractions before epidural.  they were like death, warmed up (basically HORRIBLE ). once epidural kicked in, no pain. no pain during birth, no pain after. absolutely no contractions after birth. no pain after at all.
