Prometrium? And spotting?
Hi all! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and this week I started spotting out of the blue. First it was just brown, then a few minutes later maybe 2 or 3 drops of red, then a couple minutes later back to brown and then it was gone. No pain or cramping whatsoever. That was Tuesday night. Called the doc first thing Wednesday and was told it was likely old blood from implantation, as I never got the initial implantation bleeding when it was supposed to happen.
Spotted brown again on Thursday and a little bit of red Friday, and called the doc Friday afternoon. She ordered me labs first thing this morning, and a couple hours later she called to tell me my HCG looked good but my progesterone was only a 4...at almost 7 weeks! She sent the prescription request in right away and 20 minutes later I took my first pill.
This is my first pregnancy and I had no idea my progesterone was even low! I'm so glad my doctor acted as fast as she did, but I'm just curious if anyone has had a positive outcome from taking Progesterone meds?
I was über paranoid yesterday about MC so I took another hpt to see if my line would show faint now. But my test line came in right away and so much darker than even the test line! I'm hoping this is a good sign?
I honestly couldn't even tell you what my HCG numbers were because all I heard was the bit about low progesterone. And it freaked me out!!
I go in Wednesday to see if both my levels are increasing properly.
Super scared and freaked out right now! Would love to see something positive come of this!!
