Chemical pregnancy??

What exactly is it? Can you still get a positive blood test?

I had a chemical pregnancy and I got a positive HPT, but a day later, the test line was so light. I had to wait another day to go to the doctor and by then, the urine test was completely negative. It’s unlikely you’d get a positive blood test.

a chemical pregnancy is basically when an egg is fertilized and implants long enough to begin production of hcg, but the implantation doesnt 'stick'  and egg is, for lack of a better term, flushed out with your period.  i am not sure how blood tests work in relation to chemical pregnancies.  i would assume the CP end before there is enough hcg for a blood test to detect, but i really dont know how sensitive blood tests are.
