When did you make your first dr appointment after BFP?

I only found out a week ago that I am pregnant and my mom is already up my butt about making a Dr appointment. I personally would rather wait. I kind of want to wait until after Christmas but I feel that’s maybe a bit too long. But I was thinking maybe middle of December?? Do I really need to make an appointment right this second? This is mine and my husbands third child, but our youngest is 4. So I can’t remember when exactly I made an appointment with our first 2!

I was in between insurances when we found out so i scheduled an appt at a free pregnancy clinic a week after my bfp. They performed a urine test which came back positive and then scheduled an ultrasound for 3 weeks later. Their practice refused ultrasounds sooner than 8 weeks. My ob now doesn’t do them until 10-12 weeks. So even if you called now to schedule they’d probably ask your lmp and schedule out to 8 weeks or more before seeing you unless you’re high risk.

I called after I got my BFP, and they didn’t make my appointment for another month out. Luckily I got to move it a week earlier! So excited to see little bean next Monday!

I called as soon as I got a BFP they asked my last period and told me when they needed to see me

Went in at exactly 4 weeks. Did a blood draw for my quant and progesterone levels. Had another at 6 week redid labs. now I have another at 8 weeks. I'm also classified as high risk due to my Lupus and multiple miscarriages. So far so good :)

you don't have to go right away if you don't want to. the doctors literally don't do anything except show you the heartbeat and if you were to miscarry there's nothing they could do so honestly it's up to you. I'm personally waiting until my pregnancy is more viable and likely to stick. like 12 weeks ish.

I called 12dpo, the day after my bfp, then got blood work and an ultrasound around 5w and first prenatal appointment at 8w.

I️ called right when I️ found out at 3 weeks. My doctor set my apt for 10 weeks because you can’t really get a good ultrasound until 8 weeks. Most people who go in early go back around 10-15 weeks. I️ would wait. This my second child.
