i'm newly 16, the boy i like is 14 (15 in june, so we'll be only a year apart for a couple months). this boy is also the little brother of my friend (who's 17). i've been crushing on him for a good 2 months now and i don't know what to do. he gives me such mixed signals. i see him everyday, i spend at least 3 hours with him a day, and we see each other at church on sunday (where we usually sit next to each other). when i first began liking him, he seemed to like me too. he would say vague things that hinted to him liking me (such as, we were on the bus home and his sister and i were playing around. my friend called me crazy, and i heard my crush whisper to her "i like crazy"). he did things like that for a while, playing with my hair and holding my hand. he caressed my knee when we sat next to each other, and always hugs me whenever we see each other. i thought he liked me for sure... then things began to fizzle out a little. he was still kind and gave small hints, but very very small ones. almost nonexistent. he then began talking to this girl in his grade, and he told me how cute he thought she was. i was emotional and sad about it but i supported him and his infatuation towards this girl. i cheered him on, because if he's happy then i'm happy. anyways, recently, he's been showing more interest in me again. he's complimenting me again, reaching for my hand and caressing my knee. he braided my hair one day when we were walking home from the bus stop and he said he thought my hair was cute. he carried my bag for me, too. even then, i'm still not sure how he feels. this girl from his grade is still in his life and i know for a fact he still thinks she's cute. i'm confused. i just want him to be straight forward, as i'm pretty straight forward with him. i want to be with him, but the complications of our age gap + his sister being my friend + his mixed signals + the other girl are confusing me to no end. what do you guys think? does he like me from the sounds of it? or is he just being nice.. do i have a chance with him? help please ):
