Is it possible my 14 week old son is teething?

He has been drooling a lot and sometimes when I think he’s hungry I feed him and he comes off my boob crying really badly, and that goes on for like 5 minutes + with crying no matter if I stop feeding him or what. Or could that just be because he’s tired? Ftm

It’s unlikely it’s teething... at 3 months they start putting their hands in their mouth which activates the salivary glands. Around this time they go through a huge growth spurt and maybe needing more sleep. Or it could be the baby wants more stimulation. Sometimes my second born does this and I lay her down next to me and talk to her, hold up toys... she calms down and starts coo-ing. If that doesn’t work I walk around with her until she falls asleep. I hope that helps 😊 they are tricky at this age.

They start teething at 3 months but the misconception about teething is coming through, which starts around 5-6 months and takes a while. It's as the teeth start to break the skin, but the teeth are moving around even now!

I’ve had several people recommend the Baltic Amber necklace. I️ haven’t tried it yet, but the drooling is so excessive with my LO. Her outfits are drenched. 
The other day I️ was out to lunch and a lady came up to me and swore by the beads. I’m tempted. If they aren’t harmful and help with the drooling I’m all for it. Amazon has them for between $12-$20. Worth a shot

My boy is the same when he is over tired, or even over stimulated. If I have played with him for too long he gets way overwhelmed and I have to give him his sucky and a his blankly and rock him in our rocking chair to sleep on my chest

it's possible. teething can happen anywhere from 3 to 12 months.

My LO was doing the crying on the boob thing, I thought gas or teething because she was always gnawing on her Hand and drooling. I cut out coffee and dairy products but nothing changed.  Turned out to be that she was overly tired
