Breach baby

So I just had my 27 week check up, baby boy is measuring two weeks ahead like he always has but the doctor said he’s laying sideways across my belly. She didn’t seem hopeful that he would turn around at all, she said because he’s growing so big it might become too difficult for him to turn completely. She’s going to schedule a cesarean if he doesn’t turn by 33 weeks but I always thought they could turn around at any time? Did anyone else experience this and their baby did turn around?

This is my first and I’m terrified of a cesarean. I’m really praying hes turned around by my next appointment in 3 weeks.
