Can I still touch my bearded dragon? 🤔

Can I still hold and play with my bearded dragon now that I'm pregnant? I feel like I've been neglecting her. I feel bad. I know they carry salmonella and I haven't touched her since I found out. If I wash my hands immediately after holding her would that be okay?

You should be washing your hands prior to and after handling anyways. But yes you can still handle her, just make sure you’re not touching your face or preparing food/eating with your hands after handling without washing your hands.

salmonella is only in there poop and urine. if you clean that up early your hands right after. also it's best to keep thier beds clean. I have one and everything is fine.
