No epidural?!

So I’m on my second pregnancy and I plan on not using the epidural since last time I feel like it slowed down my labor and gave me worst reaction after they removed it plus I was stuck in bed for a week since they damaged my nerve that I couldn’t walk yet , anyways I don’t want to do it again but is there any alternative pain medicine that could ease the pain 😕

Arnica Montana by Hyland’s or Boiron is a natural pain reliever you could use. Also, look up natural birthing exercises, as they can really help during and after. Pelvic rocking/tilting is one that helped me a lot. 
(FYI, I had an unmedicated home water birth with my first, an unexpected miscarriage with my 2nd at home, and currently 13 weeks pregnant. If you need any advice for natural pain relievers that work, feel free to ask.) Good luck! :)
Also, I highly recommend reading and/or taking the class called The Bradley Method of Natural child birth. Even for hospital or birthing center births, the nuggets of truth you’ll find in there are useful for all laboring moms. :)

Research active birthing and yoga birthing positions. If you don’t lay down you have significantly less pain, less tearing and a faster delivery.

Ask your Dr for sure, my midwife had few pain medicine options, though I don't know what they were, plus the laughing gas. Nothing is as effective as an epidural, but should ease the pain. I FORGOT to ask for any of it during labor (duh), was too busy having a baby 😂

following to see what others say. I don't want an epidural. I did some googling a while back and apparently there's some pain medicine they can give via IV but it doesn't help like an epidural but it's supposed to help ease pain. not sure what it is. Possible ask your doctor?

I had an epidural with my first and hated it. I pushed for 2 hours and felt so doped up after. With my second I didn't want that and I just went for no pain meds at all. I almost asked for some but then they checked me and told me I was at 8 cm so I decided to just tough it out. Best decision ever it was way better and I only pushed for 15 mins. I can't really say anything about pain meds cause I didn't have any. But it's totally possible especially with subsequent deliveries.

I think you should definitely ask your doctor about what pain management tools he/she uses, as every hospital and doctor can be different. I got an epidural, so I'm not 100% sure on this, but I do believe there is a pain med they can administer through IV as well as laughing gas...? maybe not totally sure.
