I️ went in for a usual check up with my OB and was offered a stretch and sweep (I️ was 39 weeks 6 days). I️ got the stretch and sweep done ( I️ was 2cm at this point) and within 30 minutes I️ went into labour. I️ went down to labour and delivery an hour later and was already 4cm so they admitted me! Within the next 30 minutes my OB came in and broke my water because it wasn’t going to break by itself. Within 2 hours I was 6cm but this is when things started to slow down and my contractions spaced out. I️ was put on some medication through IV (can’t remember what it’s called) and the contractions started to pick up hard and fast. I️ asked for an epidural but the first one didn’t work so they had to do a second one, and the second one didn’t work either so I️ had to deliver naturally. After 16 hours of labour, my sweet boy, Greyson, was born at 1:58am on November 11th (one day before his due date).
