It's been different with each pregnancy. With my first I was just a little overweight and felt him from the outside around 18 weeks. 2nd I was obese and felt him around 20 weeks. 3rd baby girl kicked inward toward my  spine, so I didn't feel her from the outside until around 24 weeks when she could really kick. This time I felt her from the outside around 18 weeks, but consistently around 20 weeks.
