I just started working in the same store as my husband and most of the people there are pretty nice especially when they found out I am Jakes wife, but others are not... I’ve gotten things like “ how did YOU ever get a guy like Jake to marry you?”, “Really!? You’re Jakes wife!?” (While being sized up), “what did you ever do to get him?”, and “what’s so special about her?” (Behind my back). Another thing they do that bothers me is that they act like they know him better and longer than I do. We’ve been together for a couple years and he’s only worked there for about a year. People shouldn’t make couples feel like one of them isn’t good enough for the other...
