Testing?

Did you guys get tested after 1 ectopic? I'm unsure whether to ask for the HSG test.

I had one done. My surgeon who became my OB didn't want to do any testing but I ended up getting a second opinion with a different OB who demanded we do one because I now only have one tube and we wanted to make sure there wasn't a reason for the ectopic. Thankfully my remaining tube looks great. It hurt like hell but I'm so happy I had it done it helps me worry less about it happening again.

Ask for it!! I would insist on having it done before you TTC again.

A Dr offered me the HSG if I wanted, while another said it was unnecessary. I chose not to do it because the way it was explained was that HSG shows if the tubes are clear, but not if the tubes are working properly (to push the egg).

I didn't.  They're gonna see if I am able to get pregnant first.  He did camera the tube when he removed the baby from it... Fingers crossed! I just got cleared to start trying next cycle.  Tube has healed and I am praying baby sticks where it should this time.

I asked for the hsg test and had an ultrasound early. My doctor wanted the early ultrasound to make sure little one was in the right place.
