Should i go to college even if im just studying art?

ive been into art since i was little and not to toot my own horn but i do pretty well in it. i wanna get a good job in the art field but some tell me theres not much to be besides a teacher or a struggling artist and i refuse to be either one of those. so ive been debatin on if i should go to college or not.

If you do go, I recommend a community college. And we all have an advantage now with social media as artists. You can publish your work on there and sell it. You’ll be a prosperous artist

A degree is valuable for many high paying professions. Even if the degree is in something unrelated. 
I wish that I had gotten mine. It’s worth the time and you will be glad that you did it later. Just be careful with loans and such.

Majoring in art at college can really help developbyour skill but if you dont have a plan for after it could leave you w/a lot of debt and little to no income -though plenty of people start college and figure it out along the way. I think you should work and/or go to community college for a few years & in the mean time go out and meet some artists and art majors and don't just ask for advice but really get to know them. You'll learn a lot about what it's really like being in the art field and a lot about yourself

There are lots of things you can do. Illustrating, graphic design, interior decorating, maybe curating or something for an art museum... try running a google search on all the things you can do with an art degree.

Three of my roommates are art majors and seeing how they have grown in their art and how they’ve improved is amazing! They are all amazing artists (photography,digital art/prints, and art history). Do it! It’s worth it!

There's plenty of careers in the art industry that require a degree of some sort! It just depends on what type of art you're interested in doing. If you just want to focus on the design part you could do Ad Design or architecture! There's plenty of careers out there besides teaching that require a degree!😊
