So my so and I got into an argument today over a baby shower. While I think it is a pointless argument to have in the first place I want others opinions just to see. I am expecting baby #2 but it’s my so first child. We are not due until June (yes awhile away) but I already know that I do not want a baby shower. Mainly because I don’t want to be the center of attention and I do not have any friends (I am very non social) I have like 1 friend and that’s it. I told him that with my first child I was kind of forced into having a shower and it was the most awkward thing that happened. My birthday is in May so I thought okay well why don’t I have a birthday dinner/baby shower. Something intimate with only my immediate family and his and that’s that. He got mad saying that it’s his first child and he wants us to have a shower, that his family will want me to have one. But I just don’t see the need for it and I don’t understand why he’s so mad about it. Like he’s mad to where he is not talking to me and is making stupid comments like “oh this is your baby u do what u want right?” Please someone help me out.
