Did you ever have a glass of wine or two while breastfeeding?

Not at the same time of course! Just while you’re still breastfeeding your baby. Did you ever have wine? Did you pump and dump or just wait a couple hours to feed baby again

You have to be fall over drunk for any measurable alcohol to be present in your breast milk. We’re talking trashed beyond measure before it passes to your little one.

My lactation consultant sis fits perfectly fine- as long as you feel safe to drive you’re safe to breastfeed. And, actually, drinking while breastfeeding is the best way to do it! That way, you’re putting the longest possible amount of time between drinking and the next feed. I still drink wine while breastfeeding. But I don’t even drink to the point of feeling really tipsy. Now that I’m a mom I find that I don’t really want to.

You don't have to pump and dump, just wait 3-4 hours per drink you have. I have had a glass of wine here and there, and I just wait before I feed my baby.

If you drink right after breastfeeding then it will be safe to breastfeed at the next feeding

they say if you can drive, you can feed. very little alcohol gets into your milk.  but waiting a couple hours and/or getting the alcohol test strips won't hurt.
