Preterm labor?

So I will be 30 weeks on Monday. All weekend I have had these sharp like twings of pain it feels like it's in my cervix but I'm not really sure. I'm a FTM and I just curious about preterm labor. I don't want him to come out too soon. I Kinda wanna know what the signs are when you're going into labor and what it feels like.

Sounds like lightning crotch. The baby is getting heavier and bearing down on your cervix.

I have that (I’m 27w2d) and it’s from my son kicking down near my cervix 😑

I had that around 30 weeks to and it's continued on every now and then (38 weeks today). I didn't get checked out because they made me nervous and everything was fine, my doctors told me that baby was just pushing on my cervix. If you are concerned my doctor's rule of thumb is: it's better to come in and nothing be wrong, than stay home and there be a real issue.

It could be Braxton-Hicks. If you drink water and lay on your side usually they will go away. They are irregular and sporadic. If your in constant pain especially in your lower back I would call your doctor and go in to be checked out.
