Our goal is to wean by 2 y.o. She uses it primarily to sleep and as all parents know, a rested and sleeping baby equals parental sanity. Not going to mess with a good thing.

Only at bedtime. I'm not going to force wean her. This works right now.

I used Wubbanubs (pacifier with stuffed animal attached) and cut the pacifier off when my daughter was 8 or 9 months old. She could still cary it around and cuddle with it but there was no pacifier.

I never wanted my daughter to have hers and she stopped using it on her own

The longer u wait to take it away at this point the harder it will be.

My daughter decided around 8ish months that she was done with it, and started sucking her pointer and middle fingers instead. Not sure how we're going to break that!
