Can I Give Juicy Juice?

Question

My baby is a week away from being 6 months old he was at his grandma house yesterday and his cousin was there and she is sick today he is getting sick I read that one thing to help him while he is sick is to keep him hydrated is it ok to give him a little bit of water down juicy juice in between his feedings so he stay hydrated?
Also what are some good home remedies to help him get over this cold this is his first time ever being sick.

why not just plain water? sugary juices can actually cause tummy troubles and lead to even worse dehydration. so extra breast milk or formula and water only (since he's not quite 6 months, I would limit to 2-3oz water in a 24hr span but definitely call the pediatrician to see what they think!)

Just give plain water. If you start with juice you'll later on be having problems making him drink water. But if baby is still fully breastfed or bottle fed and drinks his normal amount you shouldn't have any trouble with dehydration.

There is so much sugar in juice, your baby shouldnt need much extra unless they are throwing up or have diarrhea. Just offer breast and bottle often dont worry too much about any solids if youre giving them already.

Water or breastmilk/formula is the only thing I will say here. 
If you want to give him anything else then you need to talk to his doctor. If he has a good doctor they will know tricks that are home remedies.

You could do watered down juice, but I would just do water. Maybe if your LO is dehydrated and refused water you could do the watered down juice just to get something in the tummy, but water is better.

you can give pedialyte. when my daughter was 2 months the doctor told me to mix pedialyte with her formula

just give baby water. maybe with something like cucumber infused in it if you must do something else
