When to Tell Your Job

If any of you are elementary school teachers, when would/did you tell your job you're pregnant?

At 8 weeks because I️ was extremely sick all the time

Im an EA, but I told my job at 15w because I wanted to give them enough time to find a long term sub. I'm now 31w...and I'm pretty sure they still don't have anyone lined up..

I plan on informing my coworkers and students when we come back from Christmas break. I will be 16 weeks then so it’s going to be a surprise to see a belly when we get back lol.

I announced at work at 19 weeks to both coworkers and my 5th graders. Most took the news home to their parents....but some parents (of the boys) were surprised when they came in last week (25 weeks) for conferences. Also, heads up, one dad was extremely bitchy about me being out on maternity leave.

My husband told my principal when i was 6 weeks because i had to move classrooms and he didn’t want me moving anything heavy on my own and knew i wouldnt speak up 🙄 not how i wanted it to go but it all worked out in the end!
