Is labour actually THAT painful?

Like I’ve heard of contractions and ‘The Ring Of Fire’ but if it was that bad why would people do it again?

Yes it's horrible. But it's one shitty painful day of your life compared to a lifetime of love with your child....that's why we do it again. Plus, there's the epidural option :)

I had an emergency csection after laboring all day and would do it all over again. It's worth it in the end, don't you think?

My contractions were terrible because I was induced. I will never let them give me pitocin or unnecessary iv fluids again. The actual pushing was hard but mostly because I was tired, not because of pain

It’s really not that bad to be honest. Get the epidural, it’s great 😊 the ring of fire is the worst part. I hyperventilated and almost passed out, but after my sons head came out I felt the rest of him slide right out lol. I cried. I couldn’t believe I did it.

Tbh I didn't feal the "ring of fire". My contractions were bearable and when it came time to push I actually felt relief because the focus on getting her out "numbed" me so-to-speak from the contraction pain lol. I told my SO I was scared because the majority of my pushing was spent trying to get the other half of her head out, what I thought was an hour was actually only 15 minutes 😂

I was induced and I was moving really fast. They induced me at 6:30, popped my water at 10:45, I got my epidural at 1:10 (this epidural was a blessing. I was in so much pain) but felt urge to push while they were giving epidural. Had my little girl at 1:35, so 25 minutes after my epidural. 
My contractions were horrible but it’s probably because of the pitocin.  Do whatever feels best for you. I swore up and down I wasn’t getting an epidural but when it came down to it, I needed it and I’m so glad I got it.

Because what you get out of it is incredible.. I was in labor for 4 days, with back labor too and unable to get out of bed due to preeclampsia, before I had to end up with a c-section. It was by far the worst experience of my life until I saw my little girl. She made every second of torture worth it 😍

I got to 8cm without anything then asked for an epidural. I was super upset with myself but got over it..🤷🏻‍♀️
