Finishing inside or no?

Question

When someone says we weren't trying to have a baby it just happened. Do they mean we were having unprotected sex and he finished inside me and I got prego or we used the withdrawal method and it happened. I'm sooo curious

For us it was keeping track of fertile window and avoiding 'finishing inside' during the window. She is hyper regular, like to the damned hour lol. It worked for 1.5 years and then she was about 12 days late one month and it threw her cycle off. Next month her fertile window moved and she got pregnant. We weren't 'actively trying' but weren't necessarily avoiding it either because we knew we wanted more children.

For me, it behave we aren’t tracking ovulation or  having sex on particular days in hopes of getting  pregnant. Sometimes my hubs ejaculates in me, sometimes he doesn’t. When someone says they’re “trying to get pregnant” I immediately think of tracking ovulation and having unprotected sex as much as possible. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We were using a diaphragm and spermicide, and charting my cycles to avoid peak fertile days. And I’m 17 weeks pregnant with our 4th baby. With my first I was on the pill and it was part of the recall for the pills being in the wrong order. He’s 5 now.

For me it means the 1st time I was in the depo shot and got pregnant and the second time I was in the pill and got pregnant
