DS won’t let me set him down help!!

Hello! Naive FTM here! So my DS is 16 days old and will scream bloody murder when I set him down. I thought we had made progress in the rock and play where has slept for a few 3 hour stretches the day before yesterday. Then the motor stopped working and he wouldn’t go in it all day. SO was able to get it work but now he will wake after a few minutes screaming til I pick him up. He had been in my arms for almost 48 hours. I think he is exhausted because he hasn’t had a good nap. He may also be going through growth spurt because he constantly wants to feed but I’m also afraid I’m misreading his cues and am over feeding him so his fussiness is actually gas oains Idk if I should just roll with it and chalk it up to he is just 16 Days old or if there might be something else going on. I just don’t want a 6 month old who can only sleep in my arms. He’s already 10lbs and 23.75inches and I’m not that strong lol
