Any one else deciding to only have one child?

We are really debating on only having one child- curious other people’s thoughts/ opinions on yes or no to this

I want 2. I grew up an only child and I'm now going through pregnancy without siblings and I don't want my daughter to go through life the way I have

This is such a personal decision. I'm pregnant with my 4th, but my cousin only had 1. There's nothing wrong with either choice. If you think you want another, do it,  because I think you'll regret not having more than having another if part of you wants it. But if you're satisfied just having 1, then that's likely the right decision for you. My cousin definitely has more freedoms than I do. ...but I wouldn't trade my freedom for my kids. ...so one decision isn't right for everyone :)

My husband talked about starting on baby #2 before baby 1 had arrived. I was the one saying no way.    Now that my little guy is getting bigger think I want another.  When I mentioned it up to hubby he said he really thinks we should sick to one. The way I look at it now is we've got a beautiful, healthy, happy baby. I'm in my late 30's. Why risk it? For me personally if I don't get to have another than I already have a wonderful kiddo. I'm happy.

Honestly...I don't think we can afford a second child until the first is in school. So who knows what will happen 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think I want two kids but we haven't really decided. 
I'm an old child and I definitely can see that even as an adult I don't think to be generous in certain situations. I don't exactly know how to explain it...its not like I'm a bitch and totally selfish all the time (or most of the time even) but there are some things I wish I had a sibling so I could have learned a little from it.
my dad says he wishes that he had another kid around the same time he had me because he knows that I do have "only child syndrome" and because our family is smallish.

I grew up knowing I’d have more than one child. My husband and I always said we would have two of our own and then decide if we want to adopt or foster more children. But recently I’ve been really thinking about the ecological impact (yes I mean ecological- although economical is also important) of having more than one child. I also have been dwelling on how many children could be helped if my husband and I opened our home to fostering.
With all of that said, ultimately it is an individual decision and only you and your family can make the best decision for you! It’s a tough one! I hope you get lots of responses to help you to consider your options!
