First scan tomorrow- tan/brown cervical mucus

I should be 8 weeks 6 days tomorrow. This is my 3rd pregnancy and hoping this will be our rainbow! I am terrified of going to this appointment tomorrow and there being no heartbeat. I have been having brown/tan colored cervical mucus. It isn't spotting like before period but literally my cervical mucus is colored. Is this normal ?
