Am I a horrible person?

Question

So I just found out that I am pregnant about a week ago. Is it bad that I really want a girl? People always say that I should just hope for a healthy baby, and I do, but I can't help wanting a baby girl. I know nothing will change the gender, but I just hope I won't be sad or upset if it ends up being a boy. Has anyone else had similar thoughts?

I've already warned my partner to expect shocked hayley if it's a boy I am that sure it's a girl and don't want him to think I'm disappointed but I guess I'm really hoping for a girl

No it's not bad. You should want a healthy baby, but hoping for one gender over the other doesn't mean you'd rather have a sick baby girl over a healthy baby boy. I REALLY, and I mean REALLY, wanted a baby boy. & I am having a boy! I was so estatic I cried tears of joy when I found out. I don't know that I would have been as happy with a girl but I still would've been happy. You'll be happy with whatever you get. Don't let anyone tell you that you're a bad person/mother for wanting one gender over the other. They're terrible for saying that to you. Congratulations on the baby!

I was very disappointed i already have 2 girls i cried when i found out. But i have now excepted it. And will love her just as much.

With my first pregnancy I was the same way and now my son is 4 and omg I'm so happy I had a boy. They are so much fun and not as high maintenance as girls. I love him to death and my husband wants this one to be a girl so we have one of each but honestly I'll be happy either way Cus I love my little boy lol. Best wishes!

We already have a boy so I was really hoping for a girl. I'm getting my wish! I wouldn't have loved him any less if it was another boy, but now I can be completely at peace with our decision to stop at 2 kids.
