On Tuesday, May 5th, I went for my gender scan! I was super excited and brought a friend. When it came time to find out the sex, it was supposed to be a surprise. They took a picture of the genitial area, printed it with 'it's a _____' and put it in an envelope for my friend to take and set up our gender reveal party coming that Thursday. On Thursday, at the gender reveal, my SO and I found out we were having a boy. I had been asking my friend to meet up with me to get the sonogram picture as she for got it Thursday. I kept telling her how I wanted to see my baby boys junk!! On Tuesday, May 12th, I finally got he sonogram picture and was looking at it and was so confused. The sonogram had a blue sticky note on it to cover the picture. When I looked I could not see a penis. After staring for 10 minutes I finally pulled the sticky note off completely and seen where the sonogram said in plain black and white 'it's a girl' I was horrified and shocked that my friend assumed because there was a blue sticky note on the picture that it was a boy. The sticky note did cover the tiny writing, but if she had pulled it off we would have known it was really a girl. I had a reveal pity and and told everyone I was having a boy! Even told everyone the name!!! Anyone else have something similar happen to them?
