I've been talking to this guy for three months. I've know him my whole life but we've always just been dating other people. we hang out a lot and he says he loves me to my face, and we love being together and hanging out but texting with him is such a hassle he always sends one word answers and it's so dry. I feel so unwelcomed and it's like I don't even know him. even though in person we could probably talk for hours. also when I ask him why we aren't dating he says he doesn't want to mess things up and that he wants to take things slow even though he was the one to say I love you first.

should I take the signs and leave him before I get even more hurt or do actions speak louder than words??
