How do you put your baby to sleep??

Question

I'm wondering how you handle bedtime now that our November babies are 1 year old.. Worried that I'm 'babying' my little toddler, but I love feeling so close to him. Especially since I couldn't ever breastfeed. 
I usually give him a bottle while holding him and then rock him or lie with him until he is asleep. Usually takes 10-15 minutes and he sleeps all night in his own bed. I feel like its not hurting anything, but maybe its not the best method moving forward? 
How do you put your baby to sleep? Do you put them down after a bottle and let them fall asleep alone or do you stay until they're asleep?

I nurse mine till he's had enough and falls asleep on me... I went to work today for the first time and he's woken up 4 times in 2 hours... I don't think he wants to be without me lol

I nursed my daughter to sleep for the first 8 months and then she wouldn't fall asleep nursing anymore. We started to do a bedtime routine. Bath, lotion (in the winter), PJs, nursing, 2 books, 1 song, sound machine, and then we turn the lights off, lay her down and walk out. She's asleep within 5 minutes.

I rock him until drowsy, then put him down half asleep and he rolls to his front and drifts off. But I have to get him to the right amount of drowsy/tired otherwise I have to repeat it. But if he wakes during the night he self settles himself back off so I don’t go in so he can self soothe but he likes being cuddled till he’s sleepy ❤️

Bath, book cuddles and kisses, bed. I let him down but recently I’ve needed to stay in the room. Before I used to just lay him down and leave and then he went through a period where he’d scream and I’d lay him down over and over. Now he goes down easily but if I leave while he’s awake it wakes him right back up. But if its working for you I don’t see why you’d stop.

I just lay her down in bed with her bottle and sometimes she will put her bottle to the side and then want me to hold her so I'll put her on my chest and pay her back and she falls asleep then I put her back down she still sleeps with me lol

Mine needs to be walked around until she’s sleepy then she nurses to sleep and maybe 40% of the time I can put her down for a nap. At bedtime it takes me about an hour to get her down in her crib

I put her down and give her a bottle and she’ll fall asleep drinking it. I don’t plan on giving up her bottle right before bed. I drank milk before bed until I was like 12 😂😂 even now I’ll sometimes have a cold glass right before I go to sleep.

I hold her and read her books while she drinks her milk. After she's done, I brush her teeth, kiss her goodnight and put her in her crib. She usually falls asleep within 5 minutes.

I rock her while feeding her a bottle. She doesn’t fall asleep, just lays there. When she’s done, I lay her in her bed, tuck her in, and head out. Then she soothes herself to sleep. For naps I simply lay her down, and head on out. I’m not too worried, because I love cuddling her for a few minutes, and she absolutely knows how to sleep on her own/self soothe.
