Little did I know this was the last picture of you being inside my tummy.

On Friday December 1st my husband and I went to dinner with a few friends. It was a dinner surrounded by a murder mystery so while we ate we had to figure out who did it. While the dinner was delicious it also had food I’d never tried before. After the dinner on the way home I felt mild period cramps. Nothing abnormal because I’ve felt them before, but this time I just noticed they were more frequent than they usually were.

As I timed they were 5 minutes apart and lasting 30-40 seconds. However, they weren’t painful at all! As the night progressed they never got closer but they started lasting 45sec.-1min. An hour later my tummy hurt and started making me nauseous. I went to the bathroom and had major diarrhea and couldn’t leave the toilet. So I did what any wife does... I texted my mommy 😂 she told me those were contractions and to call the Dr.

When I called she said it sounded like I was in labor and to come in. I am SO GLAD I did. When I got their my contractions lasted a minute+ and were 10-30sec. apart. I got the epidural as soon as I could due to having no breaks on contractions.

Long story short, I dialated to a 9 by 10:30am. However she didn’t come until 6:00...why you may ask? Well some body part (not her head) was stuck on my pelvic bone. Due to that she needed a vacuum assisted delivery, but at that point I did not care, I wanted her out!

And here she is! Perfect, beautiful, 7lb8oz and 19inches long baby girl.
